Keywords:
Logística Militar, Seguridad, Defensa, Cadena de suministroSynopsis
The book highlights the importance of defense and military logistics in Colombia. Starting from the review of the defense industrial base to the need for budget allocation to maintain operational capabilities, it addresses a broad spectrum of fundamental issues to understand the readiness and effectiveness of the military forces in different contexts. It delves into the relationship between the defense supply chain and the industrial base, revealing how the production of strategic goods and services is integrated into the logistics structure to sustain and strengthen the country's military capabilities. The thematic line is oriented towards the understanding of the relevance of the defense supply and industrial chain, establishing how these sustain the operability of the Colombian Armed Forces and also forge the basis of the Nation's strategic autonomy. In relation to this, humanitarian logistics and performance in disaster and catastrophe management are part of the Forces' capabilities, which, in crisis situations, illustrate the commitment to the welfare of the population. Therefore, planning and budgeting become the basis for sustaining logistical capabilities, being necessary for the maintenance of equipment and resources of the Military Forces. The Logistics Department of the Escuela Superior de Guerra “General Rafael Reyes Prieto” invites the reader to consult the present work, which is composed of the perspective of several experts who share their analysis on military logistics in the Military Forces, being a significant contribution from the academy.
